Our Initiative

The Titans Track Club Organization established our “Beyond the Track Initiative” in efforts to nurture our athletes in more areas than the sport of track and field. It is our belief and hope that we help develop a well rounded student-athlete with a sense of community, leadership and service by providing various opportunities for them to utilize.

This Initiative initially led to our partnership with the Bruh Mentor Sports Mentoring Program which impacts the athletes in extended areas such as mentoring, connected scholars programs and community service opportunities. This partnership was established in 2021 and we are proud of all the experiences it has provided our organization and athletes with.

Our next phase of the Initiative was to help ensure that our athletes were academically sound so they were not only sports competitive but academically eligible to compete. The Titans Organization established our Titans Tutoring Program which offers free weekly tutoring to our registered athletes. These sessions are done online and in person on a need basis.

While Our “Beyond the Track Initiative” is still evolving, these two parts will be our biggest component. Our future phase of the Initiative will be geared towards helping our athletes navigate through stressers that impact them by providing them with tools they need to thrive.
